PUBLIC NOTICE - CUT-OFF DATE FOR CENSUS AND ASSET INVENTORY FOR THE SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF POKUASE BSP
The Government of Ghana, acting through the Millennium Development Authority (MiDA) is implementing the Supply and Installation of a Bulk Supply Point (BSP) and Sub-Transmission Interconnecting Circuits in Pokuase in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana as part of the Ghana Power Compact Program (Compact II). MiDA is the Accountable Entity overseeing the implementation of the Compact II Program.
MiDA wishes to announce to the public that the identification of all Project-Affected-Persons by virtue of a Census and Asset Inventory in the Project footprint, was completed on the
21st September 2018. A number of persons were identified as Project Affected Persons by the stipulated deadline of 21st September, 2018 who will be duly compensated in accordance with law.
Following this, a public announcement was made in and around the BSP Site and its environs on 2nd and 3rd October 2018. Any person, activity, business or property that moved into this Area
after this date, shall not be considered as project affected.
The affected areas related to the Project are as follows:
1. Properties immediately bordering the Northern and the Eastern Boundaries of the 15.61 acres of land earmarked for the construction of a BSP at Pokuase;
2. The right hand side of the untarred road that begins 100m to the southwest of the ACP Estates Security Gate through the AME Zion School area and passing in front of High-Speed Preparatory School to the Presby/Aduman Junction at Pokuase Community Library measuring a total distance of 1.87km. Affected properties are located within two (2) meters from the edge of the said Road.
3. The right hand side of the Road beginning from the Pokuase Zonal Council Office, past the Pokuase Police Station and the Pokuase Chief’s Palace to Mayera Junction, measuring a distance of 0.7km. All affected properties are located within two (2) meters from the edge of the said Road.
4. Both sides of the Road beginning from the BSP Site, through the ACP Estates Junction, then turning left along both sides of the Road (Nsawam Road-Pokuase Intersection, (also known as the ACP Junction to the Kwabenya Road) to the SEL Fuel Filling Station measuring a distance of 1.3km. Affected properties lie within the existing ECG right-of-way on either side of the road.
5. The Properties on which electricity poles would be located for the construction of a 1.72km overhead line from the Pokuase-Nsawam Road Intersection, (where the Pokuase Interchange is being constructed) to the Disciplined Child School at Ayawaso.
6. The right hand side of the untarred road beginning at Doctor Junction, along Pokuase-Deideman Road to the Transformer (200kVA) PMT at Akoto, measuring a distance of 0.6 km for the construction of an Overhead Line.
Please note that any person, property, activity or business (farming, residential, business) that moved into the afore-listed Areas after the 21st September 2018, will not be deemed to be a Project Affected Person.
